The phrase ‘teaching for mastery’ describes a variety of practices in classrooms and organizational structures in schools that together support improving pupils’ chances of mastering maths through a deep, long-term, secure, and adaptable understanding.Math Mastery is used to improve math skills and learning.Instead of memorizing key procedures or resorting to “rote learning,” the end goal is for all students to have a solid grasp of the fundamentals of math, regardless of their level of achievement and by the end of it achieved mastery in the maths they have been taught! It is important at this point that the pupils feel confident enough to move onto the next stage.When a student is proficient in a Mathematical concept, they can use their existing and new knowledge of the concept to solve unfamiliar word problems and carry out complex reasoning.The Maths Mastery program is not a one-shot solution to getting the student to master the subject in a short time; a teacher and the student go on a journey with regular diagnostic assessments to identify any learning gaps.We offer two separate programmes, one for primary schools students and one for high schools students.
