About CAPS Curriculum
Schools across South Africa teach the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS), which is the national curriculum. The national curriculum statement has been amended by CAPS, not a new curriculum. Providing a personalised education supported by qualified teachers of different subjects. Saving Grace Education CAPS is a South African accredited Online Homeschool that adheres to the National Curriculum.
Students are able to study at their own pace under the guidance of qualified teachers. Saving Grace Education CAPS provides personalised support for all students to successfully achieve their National School Certificate, regardless of whether they are full-time Home schoolers or students in traditional schools.

Online Homeschool
We are proud to offer a comprehensive CAPS online curriculum, delivered through engaging video lessons, reinforcing worksheets, and formal termly assessments, all aligned with the CAPS curriculum.
Our online homeschool program follows a 4-term academic year, ensuring that students receive termly report cards to track their progress. We provide the flexibility for students to study at their own pace and write assessments when they feel ready, allowing them to register at any time throughout the year.
Learning Management System
At Saving Grace Education, we utlize a user-friendly Learning Management System (LMS) that allows our students easy access to the complete curriculum. We are committed to the belief that the future of homeschooling is rooted in online education, which empowers students to learn at their own pace.
This flexibility enables capable students to potentially complete multiple grades within a single academic year. Our chosen platform for this educational experience is the Canvas Instructure Learning Management System.
CAPS Assessments
At Saving Grace Education, students participate in termly CAPS assessment across four academic terms each year. These CAPS assessment are conducted through a user-friendly online platform, allowing students to complete them at their convenience after finishing the term’s coursework. To ensure academic integrity and quality control, all CAPS assessments must be recorded via Zoom, and these recordings are submitted to our academics department for thorough review.

Our CAPS Online Homeschool Program is officially registered with SACAI, which guarantees that our curriculum adheres to the highest educational standards. We proudly offer the CAPS Curriculum in English for Grades R-12, and in Afrikaans from Grades R-9
