Compulsory Subjects
Mathematics

Afrikaans
This subject covers the proficiency in the Afrikaans language, both speaking and reading.
Life Orientation
Guiding personal development, health, and career planning.
English Home Language
English Home Language subject develops proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the student’s primary language. It emphasizes communication skills, literary analysis, and cultural understanding.

In addition to the compulsory subjects, learning can choose three elective subjects from a wide range of options such as:

With our CAPS-aligned prerecorded Video lesson taught by SACE Registered teachers, learners are prepared to take the final NSC examination at the end of Grade 12. During the FET Phase, students must complete seven subjects, of which four are compulsory and three are electives.
The four compulsory subjects in Grades 10-12 include:
- A minimum of one home language (English or Afrikaans)
- An additional language at either the Home Language or First Additional Language level (English, Afrikaans)
- Life Orientation
- Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy
