What CAPS is, and why most families start here.
CAPS, the Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement, is South Africa’s national curriculum: the same one taught in most schools across the country. If your child ever moves between schools, or back into a classroom, this is the curriculum that carries.
At Saving Grace we deliver the full CAPS curriculum online. Your child works through video lessons and worksheets on their own timetable, sits accredited termly assessments, and receives a report card each term, all guided by qualified teachers.
Because it’s self-paced, a child who’s ready can move faster. A capable learner can even cover more than one grade in a single year, without waiting for a class to catch up.

Because CAPS here is self-paced, a capable child can move ahead and cover more than one grade in a single academic year, without ever leaving the accredited curriculum.
Grade 10–12 subjects.
In the FET phase your child takes four compulsory subjects and chooses three electives, building toward their National Senior Certificate.
A few pairs can't be combined, such as Hospitality with Consumer Studies, or Mathematics with Mathematical Literacy. Grace or our team will help you build a valid subject set.
Accredited, assessed, and it counts.
A flexible school day doesn't mean a lighter qualification. CAPS at Saving Grace is registered and examined to the national standard.
Securing a Grade 12 place.
Grade 12 is a SACAI exam year. To register, you pay a 50% deposit of the SACAI examination fees, with your first month and the once-off fees below.
The amounts due when you register a Grade 12 CAPS learner. Monthly school fees continue from there, and the balance of SACAI exam fees follows per the SACAI schedule.
Is CAPS the right kind?
If your child needs to catch up or learns differently, there's a version of CAPS built for that, or a different track altogether.
