Where to take a question.

Most questions land faster if they go to the right place first. Anything about your child's actual work, a mark, a piece of feedback, a task that will not submit, goes to their teacher inside Canvas, because that is where the work lives.

Anything about enrolment, fees, documents or access goes to the office by phone or email.

If you are not enrolled yet and you are trying to work out whether any of this fits your child, the contact page is the right door. Nobody will put you through a sales process.

Falling behind is the one thing worth raising early rather than politely. The academic team can revise a plan and offer catch-up support, but formal assessment deadlines do not move.

What support includes

  • Weekly check-ins
  • Progress tracking you can see
  • Feedback on every assessment
  • Email and phone support
  • Direct Canvas access to teachers
  • Catch-up support when you need it

Five ways to reach us.

Pick whichever suits the question. None of them is a queue you get lost in.

Your child's teacher, in Canvas

For anything about the work itself: a mark, a memo, a task that will not submit, a topic that is not landing. Teachers respond inside Canvas where they can see exactly what your child is looking at.

For enrolment, fees, documents, access problems, or when you would simply rather speak to someone. This is also the right number if you are not enrolled and just want to ask.

Email us

Best for anything with a document attached, or a question that needs a considered answer rather than a quick one. Enrolment applications can start here too.

For anything that needs tracking: an account problem, a document that has not arrived, a billing query. The desk keeps a record so nothing gets lost between emails.

Getting started
How do I enrol my child?
Applications go through the website, or by email to info@savinggraceeducation.co.za. Once your child is accepted we walk you through onboarding, which covers Canvas setup, access to resources, and a parent orientation.
Can my child switch to Saving Grace mid-year?
Yes, depending on the grade and the curriculum. Your child will need to catch up the work and assessments from the earlier terms, and we will tell you honestly how much that is before you commit.
Do I need to register my child with the Department of Education?
Yes. For legal compliance you must register your child with your Provincial Department of Education. We provide the supporting documentation and guide you through it.
What devices and internet do we need?
A reliable internet connection, a laptop or tablet, and basic stationery. Some exams need handwritten answers scanned and uploaded, so access to a scanner or a decent phone camera matters.
Day to day learning
What is Canvas, and how does my child use it?
Canvas is the secure online learning platform. Your child accesses lessons and resources there, submits assignments and tests, tracks their own progress, and communicates with their teachers. It is where the school day actually happens.
How does a week actually run?
Your child works through structured weekly lessons on Canvas, watches the recorded video content, submits assignments and School-Based Assessments, and writes tests online. You act as the learning facilitator at home while our teachers provide the academic support and feedback.
Can my child work at their own pace?
Flexibility is the point, but it is not unlimited. Your child follows a structured term calendar and has to meet the deadlines for formal assessments and exams.
How often do we get feedback?
Weekly and termly academic feedback, with detailed memos and comments on each assessment task, plus weekly check-ins and progress tracking.
What happens if we fall behind?
Tell us early. The academic team offers catch-up support and will revise the plan with you. The one thing that cannot move is the deadline for formal assessments.
Assessments and exams
How are tests and exams written?
Through Canvas, monitored with The Invigilator App. Your child writes at home under strict guidelines and scans their responses for upload. All School-Based Assessments and formal assessments are invigilated through the app, which is a SACAI requirement.
Are exams supervised?
Yes. All formal assessments for Grades 10 to 12 are written under strict supervision through The Invigilator App, and the final SACAI exams are written at approved centres under in-person invigilation.
Can my child write matric through Saving Grace?
Yes. Grade 10 to 12 learners are enrolled through SACAI, which lets them write the official NSC matric exams at SACAI-approved venues around South Africa.
How are practical subjects assessed online?
Subjects like Consumer Studies, Hospitality and Visual Arts use video submissions. Your child films their work and uploads it, with instructions and rubrics provided up front.
Do you provide report cards?
Yes, a termly report card covering all formal assessments, with SACAI recognition for Grades 10 to 12.
Fees and payments
How are payments structured?
Monthly payment plans, a once-off annual payment with a discount, or term-by-term, structured per curriculum. See the Fees page for the full grid.
Are textbooks and materials included?
All digital resources are included through Canvas. For some CAPS grades your child may need specific prescribed textbooks or novels, and you will get notice of that in advance.
Support and special needs
What if my child has learning barriers or special needs?
There are three routes: the purpose-built Special Needs Curriculum for Grades R to 10, Special Needs CAPS for Grades R to 12, and Remedial CAPS for Grades R to 9. All three use individualised pacing and visual aids, and support learners with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety or general learning barriers.
Do you offer extra one-to-one support?
Yes. One-to-one subject support and extra lessons are available at additional cost, and most programmes include group revision sessions and exam prep workshops.
Is this workable for working parents?
It is designed for it. Lessons are recorded, scheduling is flexible, and you get progress reporting rather than having to supervise every hour.
A person, not a ticket number

Human contact is not optional here.

Online does not have to mean unreachable. Every enrolled family has a teacher they can message, an office they can phone, and a weekly check-in that happens whether or not anything has gone wrong.
