We place them in the right curriculum and, per subject, the right level, from CAPS to Cambridge to purpose-built Special Needs support.

Formal assessments from Grade 9 are invigilated through the app, a SACAI requirement, with final matric exams at approved centres.

Assessments are marked and moderated by qualified educators, so results are consistent and fair.

A recognised certificate

Grade 12 learners receive the National Senior Certificate, accepted by South African universities and colleges.

Register with the DepartmentBy law you register your child with your Provincial Department of Education. We give you the documents and guide you through it.

Is Saving Grace a registered, accredited school?

Saving Grace is a SACAI-registered distance-education provider and complies with Department of Basic Education requirements. Grade 10 to 12 learners are enrolled through SACAI and receive the National Senior Certificate on completion.

Do I need to register my child with the Department of Education?

Yes. For legal compliance you register your child with your Provincial Department of Education. We provide the documents and guide you through the process.

Can my child write matric through Saving Grace?

Yes. Grade 10 to 12 learners are enrolled through SACAI and write the official NSC matric exams at SACAI-approved venues across South Africa.

What is my role as a parent?

You are the day-to-day facilitator, keeping your child on track. The teaching, marking and academic support are ours, with weekly check-ins and feedback, and you can watch progress live on Canvas.

What device and internet do we need?

A laptop or tablet, a reliable internet connection, and basic stationery. Some subjects ask you to scan and upload handwritten work.

Can we start in the middle of the year?

For Grades 1 to 9, yes, enrolment is open all year. Your child catches up any missed work and assessments. Grades 10 to 12 register per term.

What happens if we fall behind?

The academic team offers catch-up support and a revised plan. Day-to-day pace is flexible, though formal assessments still need to meet term deadlines.

Does this work for working parents?

Yes. Lessons are recorded, the pace is flexible, and daily progress is visible on Canvas, so it's built to fit around busy families.
