Saving Grace is SACAI-registered specifically for the FET Phase of its CAPS online school. CAPS FET learners in Grades 10 to 12 work toward the National Senior Certificate through SACAI. There's more on the Accreditation page.

Yes. Grade 10 to 12 learners are enrolled through SACAI and write the official NSC matric exams at SACAI-approved venues across South Africa.

Yes. International students are welcome, provided they have reliable online access and can meet the curriculum requirements.

Yes. For legal compliance you register your child with your Provincial Department of Education. We provide the supporting documents and guide you through the process.

Applications go through the website, or by email to info@savinggraceeducation.co.za. Once your child is accepted we walk you through onboarding, which covers Canvas setup, access to resources, and a parent orientation.

Yes, depending on the grade and the curriculum. Your child will need to catch up the work and assessments from the earlier terms, and we will tell you honestly how much that is before you commit. For Grades 1 to 9 enrolment is open all year; Grades 10 to 12 register per term.

A reliable internet connection, a laptop or tablet, and basic stationery. Some exams need handwritten answers scanned and uploaded, so access to a scanner or a decent phone camera matters.

Canvas is the secure online learning platform. Your child accesses lessons and resources there, submits assignments and tests, tracks their own progress, and communicates with their teachers. It is where the school day actually happens.

Your child works through structured weekly lessons on Canvas, watches the recorded video content, submits assignments and School-Based Assessments, and writes tests online. You act as the learning facilitator at home while our teachers provide the academic support and feedback.

You are the day-to-day facilitator, keeping your child on track. The teaching, marking and academic support are ours, with weekly check-ins and feedback, and you can watch progress live on Canvas.

Flexibility is the point, but it is not unlimited. Your child follows a structured term calendar and has to meet the deadlines for formal assessments and exams.

Yes. Lessons are recorded, the pace is flexible, and daily progress is visible on Canvas, so it's built to fit around busy families.

Through Canvas, monitored with The Invigilator App. Your child writes at home under strict guidelines and scans their responses for upload. All School-Based Assessments and formal assessments are invigilated through the app, which is a SACAI requirement. Yes. All formal assessments for Grades 10 to 12 are written under strict supervision through The Invigilator App, and the final SACAI exams are written at approved centres under in-person invigilation.

Subjects like Consumer Studies, Hospitality and Visual Arts use video submissions. Your child films their work and uploads it, with instructions and rubrics provided up front.

Yes, a termly report card covering all formal assessments, with SACAI recognition for Grades 10 to 12.

Tell us early. The academic team offers catch-up support and will revise the plan with you. The one thing that cannot move is the deadline for formal assessments.

All digital resources are included through Canvas. For some CAPS grades your child may need specific prescribed textbooks or novels, and you will get notice of that in advance.

There are three routes: the purpose-built Special Needs online homeschool for Grades R to 10, Special Needs CAPS for Grades R to 12, and Remedial CAPS for Grades R to 9. All three use individualised pacing and visual aids, and support learners with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety or general learning barriers.

Yes. One-on-one subject support and extra lessons are available at additional cost, alongside group revision sessions and exam-prep workshops in most programmes.
